Repair shop software comparison

We publish one of the tools on this list — might as well say it upfront. The guide is still worth your time: it names the other players and lays out the criteria that actually matter.

Five criteria that matter more than the feature list

The advertised price isn't the price you pay

Look at what gets billed on top: per user, per store, per module, per SMS sent. A €39 subscription that charges for every technician costs more than a €49 unlimited flat plan as soon as there are three of you.

Compliance with French regulations

If you buy back second-hand devices, the police register and the buy-back certificate are legal obligations in France, not options. A tool designed outside France usually ignores these constraints, and you end up keeping them by hand.

The support team's language and time zone

An English-language interface can be tamed. Support eight hours away on a busy Saturday, much less so. It's the criterion repair shops underestimate the most — and the one they cite the most when they switch tools.

The exit door

Ask how you export your data before asking how you import it. A vendor that makes leaving hard will make you pay for it the day you want out.

A real trial

A trial that asks for a credit card isn't a trial, it's a subscription with an escape hatch. Test on your real repairs, not on demo data.

Frequently asked questions about choosing software

There isn't a single one. A one-person phone repair shop, a three-store network and an Apple-authorized repairer don't have the same needs. The right reflex is to list your three real constraints — point of sale, buy-back, multiple stores, SMS volume — then eliminate everything that doesn't cover them.
